Home of St.Louis' only Cheap Trick tribute band! EL CHEAPO TRICKO has been together since the summer of 2005.Our first gig was at a benefit for St.Louis keyboardist Randy Albert.http://www.stlblues.net/randy_benefit.htmSince that time we have played at several clubs in the St.Louis area.The band is just like Cheap Trick.http://www.cheaptrick.com/We have four members and the same instrumentation.We even dress up like CT.We also got our name from Bun E. Marty Monson our great drummer knows Bun E. He mentioned that we formed a tribute band and asked him what we should call it.He said "how about EL Cheapo Tricko".We said great! Each musician in the band is a seasoned entertainer.We have all played in countless bands.We just enjoy doing something we love.This explains EL CHEAPO TRICKO. We play Cheap Trick because we love their music!One of the world's greatest power pop bands.I think the greatest!Going strong for over 30 years and they still have the original members.How many other bands can say that? is a labor of love.It's an outlet for a musical thrill.It's also something I've wanted to do for a long time.I've been lucky to find three other talented musician who share my cravings!It's amazing how it all came together.It was too easy! The more we practice,and play out,the more exciting it becomes.We've been trying to get the guitars,amps and looks CT has on stage.Marcel bought a 12 string bass like Tom plays,Jim plays a Telecaster like Robin,Marty has a vintage Ludwig setup just like Bun E. I have alot of guitars and amps just like Rick.I have to buy another one today to keep up with him!I've also been trying to wear the same underwear he uses!
